Editor’s Note: Staff recommends is a new series where each staffer will suggest certain things that we think our audience will like. Each ‘recommends’ will be written by a different staffer and will symbolize that staffer’s personality.

I have chosen these five things because all of them describe a piece of me.

Teen Vogue:

The bible for fashionable teens

This magazine is perfect for young  who is interested in keeping up with the latest fashion trends, celebrity news, and beauty tips. Like most magazines, Teen Vogue gives you the scoop on your favorite celebrities and what they are wearing.

ASIA’S TIP: The magazine is now offering a two year’s subscription for just $10 or a buy a year’s subscription and receive a year’s subscription for free.

Candy Corn:

Not just for halloween

Candy Corn is one of my favorite candies because they have the perfect amount of sweetness to them, plus the texture isn’t too chewy. Even though they are typically a halloween-themed candy most grocery stores carry them all year round.

ASIA’S TIP: I do have to add a warning to this candy, because it is highly addictive.

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver:

A twist on the typical high school story

I usually am not the one to read books but I got hooked on this book. The whole story is centered around senior Samantha Kingston who is involved in a tragic accident and dies. But the catch is she keeps reliving her last day on earth and she doesn’t know why. This book brings out every emotion. It makes you cry, laugh, feel mad and anxious, all at the same. The author makes every character relatable either to yourself or to someone you know at your own school. This has become a favorite for me because I love how the author puts pieces of each character’s story, and doesn’t connect them until the end of the story.

ASIA’S TIP: You can buy this book at Barnes & Noble, which is where I bought mine, or you could go to your preferred store.

Forever21:

The Holy Grail

I recommend this store because it’s so easy to find something you like. They have graphic tees, jewelry at a cheap price, make-up, just anything you would want. I can honestly say if I could only shop at one store I would choose Forever21, because it’s affordable and has a wide variety clothes.

ASIA’S TIP: This store can definitely be overwhelming when you first walk in because there are crowds of people, clothes everywhere, and music playing. I recommend the one in Stonebriar Mall or Willowbend Mall, just because their my personal favorites and the stores aren’t as big as the ones on other malls, which sometimes means less chaotic.

Simply Lemonade:

Sweet and tangy

Now I already am in love with lemonade, but Simply Lemonade is perfect because they don’t just offer the ordinary lemonade flavors you’re used to. They offer lemonade with raspberry, mango, lime, or blueberry. If you’re not a lemonade fanatic, they also provide orange juice, cranberry cocktail, grapefruit, limeade, tropical, fruit punch, and mixed berry.

ASIA’S TIP: I’m not sure if every grocery store sells this brand but I know for that Walmart and Target provide it.
