Ryan memorial service to be held Wednesday at Trietsch

The memorial service for Darren Ryan will be held Wednesday, June 18, at 10 a.m. at Trietsch Memorial Church in Flower Mound.
Ryan, a 1983 graduate and former social studies teacher and department chair, passed away last Thursday. He was 49. A former LHS teacher of the year, Ryan left the school after the fall semester to teach social studies for the district’s new Virtual Learning Academy. While at LHS, he coached UIL Social Studies and Current Events teams and advised the Junior State of America club. He was beloved by students and staff for his friendly personality and known for his love of music.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Ryan; his parents, Donald and Helen Ryan; and his sisters, Colleen Ryan and Erin Kensler.

Trietsch is located at 6101 Morriss Road. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dalton and Son Funeral Home in Lewisville.
