Don’t split on these kicks

Farmerette Spring Show to take place tonight and tomorrow

The Farmerettes annnual spring show takes place tonight and tomorrow night from 7-10 in the auditorium. The show will be a preview of all of the dances the Farmerettes have performed throughout the year.

“We have competition dances, dances that we do during class and dances that we do during the football games as well as new dances we learned after competition season,” junior Farmerette Elaniece Brockington said. “We have all these dances compiled into one show.”

Alongside the Farmerettes, other guest dancers will participate in the show.

“We have guest dancers like Dunham’s dance one class and sometimes Footlights come, which is a dance studio; we have mc’s who try to make it funny and everyone kicks at the end and I know that’s most people’s favorite part,” junior Farmerette officer Dani Longoria said.

The price to attend is $10 for general admission and $12 for reserved. The stage is organized by head coach Shannon Dunham and assistant coach Kimberly Sheeran as well as the tech and lighting crew from tech theater.

The spring show exhibits dances that students get to see for the first time, as well as dances from the previous year.

“It is different from our football season because we get to show other dance styles that you would not see in a half time performance,” senior Farmerette captain Sydney Mooty said. “I think people should come to spring show because it is a super fun and entertaining show that we have all worked incredibly hard for and it is a great way for us to share our love and passion for dance.”
