Fair to showcase college, career options

More than 50 colleges will be setting up in the practice gyms for the spring college fair tomorrow, April 12.

With another fair coming up, students will have another opportunity to meet with colleges they are interested in. This fair will offer other booths that were not there during the fall.

“We are also inviting the career places, like the cosmetology schools, CCI training center, Aeronautical University, and Paul Mitchell,” counselor Carma Walker said. “We are inviting [these schools] and also the military, because in the fall we did strictly the big four-year schools, and this year we are doing a little bit of everything.”

Texas A&M, Midwestern State, Pittsburg State, and Oklahoma State are among the many colleges that will be there.

This will be the second fair Walker has put together for the students.

“They get an opportunity to talk directly to a representative; they can fill out information [so that] the [representatives] can send information directly to their homes,” Walker said. “[Also] to get a good contact number or email to ask questions and pick up some good literature, and ask all the questions they like.”

Students will be able to go to the college fair during all lunches.
