Student council hosts annual tournament

Student council hosts annual tournament

The LHS student council will be hosting a Dodge ball Tournament on November the 15th. The dodge ball tournaments started in 2005. This group was the first group to start the trend in all of the LISD schools.

“The dodge-ball tournament is a time where everyone can have a fun time,” said student council teacher Allison Stamey. “Being in a dodge ball tournament is a good thing.”

This event will let dodge ball players challenge their skills with others who enjoy the sport. There will be an entry fee of $20 per team. Each team must have a uniform. The team must consist of 5 starting players and those that will be subbing in. Teams that place 2nd and 3rd will receive medals.

The finals will be held in the big arena. All games will be held in the small gyms from 6p.m. – 7p.m. at LHS. The entry fee to watch will be $3 per person. The tournament bracket will be completed two days before the tournament is held.
