From the return of great artists to new rising stars who can’t seem to stop smiling, these are the top songs that rocked 2015.

I often come across people who say they’re not huge music fans, but I wonder how they can say things like that with so much great music to listen to? And then I think ‘Well maybe they just haven’t heard the perfect song yet.’ 2015 brought a lot of perfect songs, and these are just a few.

Hotline Bling – Drake
Drake dropped this chart topper, along with his two part Meek Mill disses (Hey Meek, what’s good?) and “Right Hand,” at the end of the summer and wow did it cause a craze. Not to mention his awesome turtleneck and his grandpa dance moves in his music video had us cracking up. Anytime this one comes on the radio you can’t help but sing along cause you know, when that hotline bling, it can only mean one thing.

Where Are U Now (with Justin Bieber) – Diplo & Skrillex
Ah yes, the return of the Biebs. It was this song that catapulted Bieber back into the music scene and opened up the door to his new album “Purpose.” “Skrillex and Diplo present Jack U” is the collaboration between EDM artists Skrillex and Diplo, and it was this song they decided to launch into the world to present themselves. Up for a Grammy award for Best Dance Recording, Bieber’s smooth vocals with Skrillex and Diplo’s sick beat in the background make this the perfect song to work on those dance moves with.

Worth It ft. Kid Ink – Fifth Harmony
Female powerhouse group 5H blew fans away with this catchy song earlier in the year. The trumpets in the background during the chorus break it down for you and have you moving along to the beat. Keep on dancing because after all, you know you’re Worth It.

Trap Queen – Fetty Wap
1738! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Fetty Wap seemed to come out of nowhere when this single, which he recorded back in 2014, hit the charts in early May. After that, he followed it up with dropping “679” and “My Way” (yes Drake, we too like all our S’s with a line through them), making Wap an artist to look out for in 2016. Whether you jammed out to this in the car by yourself, or hit the whip while hanging with friends, it’s no secret that the Wap reign is in full force. Squaaaaaaaa.

Drag Me Down – One Direction
The playlist would not be complete without a song from the world’s biggest boy band, and while their newly released album “Made in the A.M.” had a lot of good songs, this was the one that made it to the top. Although this does seem like a knock to the heart after they released the song a couple weeks after bad boy Zayn left group (#WeLoveYouZayn), we love it nonetheless.

Hello – Adele
Oh Adele, I must have called a thousand times trying to see when you were dropping new music , and looks like this last call was the winner. After dropping her album “21” back in 2012, Adele seemed to fall off the face of the planet but of course everything was forgiven as soon as she dropped “Hello.” Adele’s powerful vocals will have you missing a love you never had all while have you thanking the music gods that she’s back.

Lean On (feat. MØ & DJ Snake) – Major Lazer
If you don’t have the volume up to the point where you can feel the bass of this song in your chest, you’re listening to the song wrong. With the perfect mix of chill and turn up, this song definitely had me turning up my car radio as loud as it could go.

Photograph – Ed Sheeran
Although Sheeran didn’t release the song this year, “Photograph” was one of the most popular songs probably due to his massive tour that started in September (yes I still have post concert depression, don’t judge me). Ginger Jesus once again proves how impressive his voice is with this song, and his adorable music video, which features fetus pictures and videos of him, has you clutching your heart for more.

Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) – Silentó
Yes, we know, we’re sorry but it had to be done. The Whip came out of nowhere and opened the door for all the other dances: the Dab, the Quan and the “Can’t Do It Like Me” collabs. But if you think about it, it’s just like doing the Soulja Boy, hitting the shuffle and doing the jerk. Looks like history does repeat itself.

Can’t Feel My Face – The Weeknd
With the drop of his album “Beauty Behind the Madness,” The Weeknd is another artist who broke into the music scene in incredible ways. Sounding like a young Michael Jackson, The Weeknd blows listeners away with his sultry voice; there is not a single song that he has that is bad. But this one in particular will have you snapping your fingers and nodding your head, while having you trying to hit those high notes.

Renegades – X Ambassadors
For those of you who don’t know, a renegade is someone who acts in a rebellious manner and if this song doesn’t make you feel just that, well I guess that might be a good thing. A catchy summer hit, it’s the perfect song to listen to with the windows rolled down, and if you have a Jeep it makes the experience 10 times better.

See You Again (feat. Charlie Puth) – Wiz Khalifa
This one seemed to be the song of the summer, and don’t lie, you know you shed some tears when you watched Furious 7. Khalifa’s rapping along with Puth’s sweet voice bring the song in a complete circle and touch your soul as you borderline scream the lyrics into the night.

Uma Thurman – Fall Out Boy
With songs like this, it makes us grateful for the return of Fall Out Boy. Alluding to the famous scene in Pulp Fiction of Mrs. Thurman dancing, the song might just have you dancing like her. Don’t worry, we don’t judge.

Bad Blood (feat. Kendrick Lamar) – Taylor Swift
Ah the queen of pop, Swift never seems to disappoint when it comes to creating catchy tunes that will forever be stuck in our heads. The music video for this song will have you fawning over all the beautiful powerful women featured in it. Feminists unite! Just be careful when playing this song out loud…you never know when you can get sued.

Kick The Dust Up – Luke Bryan
“What do you like listening to?” “Anything but country.” Well my ‘anything but country’ people, how about you give this song a try? Bryan seems to be at the top of country music songs, and that’s no surprise as he drops hits like this. I’m not an avid country music fan, but a fellow staffer said this was one of the best and after giving it a listen, I can’t say she’s wrong. Kick the dust up and roll on through with this song playing.

Now dear Frank Ocean, Rihanna, Lorde and any other great musician who didn’t drop new music this year:

I hope you give us something great to listen to next year. We miss you (especially you Frank Ocean, we haven’t forgiven you for your little July stunt).

Here’s to 2016 bringing us even more great music.
