Through the years there have been many songs that we just can’t get out of our heads. Every year we hear new songs and then forget about the others we used to love, so for this edition of Throwback Thursday I’m going back to those songs we’ve all forgotten. Here’s my top 10 flashback songs starting from 1999 and dating back to 2010.

“I Gotta Feeling” – The Black Eyed Peas

This Black Eyed Peas hit was released in 2009 making it seven years old this year. “I Gotta Feeling” stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks making it one of the longest to stay number one in the 2000’s. Also, it has sold approximately 14 million downloads worldwide. We still continue to hear this song played at parties and dances to this day.

“Cupid Shuffle” – Cupid

Another song we all love, Cupid Shuffle is still popular after nine years since its 2007 release. I don’t know about you, but I hear this at every dance and even at the bowling alleys I go to. Though this song peaked at only number 66 on the Billboard Hot 100, to me it’s a number one hit.

“Bring Me to Life” – Evanescence

Thirteen years after its release in 2003, to this day we all know the song “Bring Me to Life” from the band Evanescence. This song peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and also peaked at number one on other charts across the world. It was nominated for the Best Hard Rock Performance at the 46th Grammy Awards. As of 2015, it has sold more than one million copies.

“Clocks” – Coldplay

Probably one of my favorites on this list, “Clocks” by Coldplay was released in 2002 making it 14 years old. Though the song only peaked at 29 on the Billboard Hot 100, it received a Grammy for Record of the Year. The song sold approximately 500,000 copies. I know that sounds small, but this was before streaming and digital downloading took over.

“All Star” – Smash Mouth

As heard on the movie Shrek, “All Star” was released in 1999. This makes it 17 years old this year. The famous song peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 as well as number one in other countries.

“Tik Tok” – Kesha

Another number one hit, “Tik Tok” was released in 2010 and was Kesha’s debut single. It’s hard to believe the song is already six years old. As of 2015, the song has sold approximately seven million digital downloads worldwide.

“Poker Face” – Lady Gaga

The second single off Lady Gaga’s debut album “The Fame,” Poker Face was released in 2008 and has sold more than seven million downloads. It also peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 as well as number one across the world. To me, this is the song that launched her into stardom.

“Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” – Beyonce

Another song that peaked at number one across the world, “Single Ladies,” sold more than five million downloads in the U.S. It was released in 2008 along with a very popular music video. This is one of Beyonce’s most successful singles to date and is one of the best selling singles of all time.

“You Belong With Me” – Taylor Swift

Released in 2008, this popular Swift song sold more than five million downloads worldwide. It peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart. In my opinion, this is one of Swift’s best country singles and one of her best songs to date.

“Glamorous” – Fergie

Released as a single on Fergie’s debut album in 2006, Glamorous peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. As of 2012, the single has sold more than three million downloads across the world. This is Fergie’s highest selling single to date and one of three number one hits off her album The Dutchess.
