As children many of us were taught to believe in Christmas magic, and as we get older chances to not only watch as the magic happens, we get to make the magic happen for others. For the staff and students here, there is one wonderful answer to spreading holiday cheer: The Angel Tree.

This year there are 495 students and relatives of students on the list, ranging from infants to adults. They have two things in common: they have family in or are students in Lewisville feeder schools, and they need your help.

Gifts are simple: clothes, toy cars, gift cards for food. Everything counts. Honestly, it is the thought that makes most of the difference because no child deserves to be neglected at Christmas time.

The Angel Tree is a simple way to make an impact on the lives of those in our community. It is an easy way to show the ones who need it most that someone does indeed care. It touches lives in more ways than one, and that is what the holiday season is all about, after all.

At a school with about 200 teachers and thousands of students everyone has a chance to help. Gifts were due today, but Student Council will accept them tomorrow as well. It’s not too late to make a difference.
